I want to tell stories with my pictures. I aim to help my clients tell their story through creative photography. Every image captures just a single moment in time, but if you capture enough of those moments there is a story to tell. Even if you only capture that one moment – it is made up of all the moments before it that make up the story of that person or that place. I'm fascinated by these stories - who's behind the face, what's behind the door, what came before?
Everyone loves moving images. Video is everywhere and society wants its information and entertainment faster and faster, but I still believe that a single image can tell a story and I love that it captures a moment or emotion in time that will never be repeated.
People, places, buildings…..stories are everywhere. Photography helps me see better - things I might not notice otherwise or that other people don’t notice - because those moments are so fleeting.
My imagination is sparked by so many things - geometry and lines, order and symmetry and things that flow; emotions and reactions; details and textures. I like to try and capture the intangible, make it tangible and release its story.
I have loved taking photographs for as long as I can remember. My first camera was the family Kodak Brownie 127, followed by my very own Polaroid camera in 1979. Ever since then I have had a passion for capturing stories.
I live near Manchester with my husband, two children and our dog.
I am available for commissions, please contact me and we can have a chat about your requirements.
